01 About David

Principled.
Proven.
Ready.

David H. McArthur is a Texas business leader and fractional COO whose career spans the White House, the oil and gas industry, and the boardrooms of mid-market companies navigating growth, transition, and transformation. He brings an operator's discipline to every role — building systems, forging partnerships, and delivering results without fanfare.

Through OnPoint Strategies, David provides hands-on executive leadership to companies that need a seasoned operator in the room — not a consultant with a slide deck. His work across upstream and midstream oil and gas has supported enterprises operating at the multi-billion-dollar scale.

Beyond business, David is deeply rooted in San Antonio's civic fabric — founding Good Ol' Days, a community program serving older adults affected by Alzheimer's, and serving in leadership roles at Christ Episcopal Church. He believes public service and private enterprise are not separate callings. They are the same one.

"You don't come across people like David on the street corner every day. He just gets the job done — no complaints, no drama, just results." Scott M.  ·  Texas Oil & Gas Executive

02 What David Stands For

Three Commitments.

From the boardroom to the commission chamber — these guide every role.

01 — Accountability

Judicial Accountability & Tort Reform

David believes Texas courts must be fair, predictable, and trustworthy — for businesses, families, and communities alike. He has been an outspoken advocate for holding judges to the same ethical standards they impose on others, and for reining in the outsized influence of trial lawyers on Texas policy.

02 — Operations

Business Leadership & Executive Performance

Whether advising a company in transition or stepping in as a fractional COO, David brings the discipline of someone who has built and managed complex operations at scale. He finds what is broken, builds what is missing, and leaves organizations stronger than he found them.

03 — Service

Community, Character & Texas Values

Public service is not a career move for David — it is a natural extension of how he has lived. From founding programs for seniors with Alzheimer's to decades of civic board service, he leads with the conviction that good character is the most important credential anyone can hold.
